No Excuses!
This got me thinking about what a sad state that most of the population is in, physically speaking. We know that obesity is at epidemic levels among our children, and diagnoses of diseases such as diabetes are at an all time high. We have only to look at our present culture to understand how this has happened, and how we have become such a nation of sluggards, wallowing in fast food and our own laziness.
Look at what is happening to our kids these days. They are becoming increasingly dependent on a virtual reality that doesn't really exist! It is a cyber world of video games, social networks, text messages, and mindless garbage that is of NO VALUE, WHATSOEVER! Don't get me wrong. I am as wrapped up in the whole social media world as most everyone else is, and I find it hard to pull myself away at times. It's a daily struggle to find balance, and to focus on the things that are most important in life.
Most of our children are doing absolutely nothing to take care of themselves physically. The time they spend sitting in their rooms ingesting this mindless drivel, could be reduced by just 30 minutes a day, and be replaced with some sort of physical activity. It doesn't mean they have to hit the gym for an Olympian workout, or run a marathon. Just something to get their bodies moving, and to keep them from wasting away, physically AND mentally!
My grandfather was a gymnast in high school, and he continued with his daily calisthenics well into his eighties. He would get up and hit the exercises first thing every morning, and he was in phenomenal shape all of his life. I'm not saying we all have to look like the man in this picture, but with just a little effort, we could all improve our own health, AND the state of our nation as well.
Just think how much we could ease the strain on our health care system, if we all took better care of our own bodies. Just think how that would reduce so many people's dependence on Social Security and disability funds. Just think how much healthier and productive we could be in our lives, corporately and individually. Just think what a better quality of life you and your children could have, with just a small portion of your day being set aside and dedicated to physical fitness. Just think how much healthier we would be if we all stopped MAKING EXCUSES for why we can find the time or energy to work out, and just did SOMETHING! Just think...
If this has made you start to think, then let me suggest the way that I have found to improve my physical fitness. It is called "Convict Conditioning" by Paul "Coach" Wade, and it has made a HUGE difference in the way I train and the way I look at my overall health, and I know it can help you too. This is a no-nonsense approach to fitness and health that anyone can implement, regardless of your age or level of conditioning. You don't need a gym or any fancy equipment, and it can all be done in the comfort of your own home. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed!

"Convict Conditioning" DVDs Coming Soon!
CORRECTION: THEY HAVE ARRIVED!!! Click HERE to check out all the great "Convict Conditioning" products!
It was announced last week that Dragon Door, the publisher of the best selling books, "Convict Conditioning" and "Convict Conditioning 2", has started production on a six DVD set of "Convict Conditioning" videos. They published the photos below from Alcatraz prison, where the series is being filmed, on their Facebook page. This is a very exciting development, and I (along with an army of others, I'm sure) am looking forward to having this video presentation as a supplemental aid to Paul "Coach" Wade's awesome bodyweight training system. Stay tuned for more details. I'll be posting additional information as it becomes available.
Not to be outdone by Max Shank too much, the great Brett Jones countered with a clapping pull up, at the Alcatraz shoot for the new Convict Conditioning DVDs. It is a variant exercise that will be on the Pull Up DVD when released.
Max Shank and Brett Jones greet each other the one-legged squat way, while filming the Convict Conditioning Squat DVD in Alcatraz last week. And how about that background?

Jewish/Khazar Myth Debunked
I actually fell for this theory awhile back. Thanks to Chris White for his research, for shedding some light on this myth, and for showing us how modern science can be used to dispell the ignorance and hatred of those who attempt to undermine our faith in the Word of God.

David Flynn Has Passed Away
It is with great sadness that I report the passing of David Flynn, on January 22, 2012. He was one of the most gifted and intelligent Christian authors and thinkers that we have seen in a long time. Please keep David’s wife and family in your
prayers.
Here is a link to my previous blog posts containing some of David's amazing work, as well as links to David's Watcher website and his YouTube channel.

Giant Foot Print In South Africa
Personally I find that suggestion highy improbable for various reasons that I will not go into here. Prof. Pieter Wagener from UPE, suggests that "there is a higher probability of little green men arriving from space and licking it out with their tongues, than being created by natural erosion".
It is located in South Africa, near the town of Mpaluzi, close to the Swaziland border. It is estimated to be between 200 million and 3 Billion years old, because of our current understanding of the formation of granites in Earth's history. This dating immediately causes great debate and argument - so I urge you to keep your mind open and focused on the evidence.
This amazing footprint in granite was discovered in 1912 by a hunter called Stoffel Coetzee, while hunting in the remote area. At the time this was a deeply remote part of South Africa known as the Eastern Transvaal, teeming with wild life, including antelope and lions. It remains in the same condition as it was when first discovered, and the possibility that this was a carved hoax is extremely low because of its remote location. Even today, it is difficult to find.
The real mystery is how this amazing phenomenon occured - I have no idea - but here it is, and we cannot wish it away.
YES - It is granite - it is a well recognised geological part of South Africa and recorded on all geological maps - that is why this footprint is such an incredible mystery. It can be desribed as a "phenocrystic" granite, OR coarse porphyritic granite, that underwent several different stages of cooling. The result being an interesting mixture of large and small granules. This is why granite companies are keen to mine this area for granite, because it will look really "pretty" when polished. In the official Geology Of South Africa, this outcrop is called Mpuluzi Batholith (Granite) and the official dating of this rock produced dates of around 3.1 billion years.
A real mystery that needs close scientific examination.
