"The Invisible War" by Donald Grey Barnhouse

An exploration of the great conflict going on between good and evil within the spiritual realm, Dr. Barnhouse carefully traces this vast spiritual conflict back to the period before the beginning of recorded time. Step by step, he then follows its unfolding to the final battle at the end of time. Here are answers to questions that have long troubled thinking people—concerning the trials, sufferings, and difficulties of life—with added helpful suggestions for facing life's obstacles. Dr. Herbert Henry Ehrenstein says, 'I am certain that this book will take its place as one of the greatest Dr. Barnhouse wrote during his lifetime, unfolding as it does an entirely new area of biblical truth for many readers who have never before contemplated this invisible battle involving God, Satan, angels, demons, and mankind. Indeed, I know of no other available book of so complex a subject.'

The late Dr. Donald Grey Barnhouse was for many years pastor of the Tenth Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His outreach extended far beyond this congregation, however. He was the founder of the Evangelical Foundation and for many years the radio voice of Bible Study Hour and Editor of Eternity Magazine.

"Biblical Demonology: A Study Of Spiritual Forces At Work Today" by Merrill F. Unger

A classic work on the subject of demons and the spirit world, "Biblical Demonology" explores the scriptural teaching on satanic forces in a systematic fashion. After a thorough introduction on the origin of biblical demonology and a discussion on the reality and identity of demons, Merrill F. Unger tackles several specific practices of demonology, including demon possession, magic, divination, and deliverance from demonic oppression.

Recognized as one of the twentieth century's most influential evangelical Bible scholars, Unger provides a study of the invisible spiritual forces behind the scenes of contemporary history that is scholarly yet accessible to both Christian leaders and Christian readers.

Merrill F. Unger (1909-1980) received ThM and ThD degrees from Dallas Theological Seminary and a PhD from Johns Hopkins. He served in pastoral ministry and later taught at Gordon Divinity School and Dallas Theological Seminary. He is perhaps best known for his classic study and reference volume, "Unger's Bible Handbook."

Companion Bible Appendix # 10 - The Spiritual Significance of Numbers

This is a new feature I have started on my blog. As often as I can, I will be posting one of the 198 Appendices of the Companion Bible. It is an amazing study and reference tool, and I thought that it might be helpful and interesting to preview some of the resources available in it. This Bible was compiled by one of the great scholars of the past, Dr. E.W. Bullinger. I have some of his other books in my Amazon Store that you can check out here. If you would like to access the entire Companion Bible in an online edition, it is available here. Hope you find this interesting and inspiring.
